How to check your PAN is linked with Aadhaar or not?

 

Hello friends, in this article we are discussing on the topic how to check your PAN is linked with Aadhaar or not. If you have a PAN card then it is mandatory to link it with your Aadhaar number. Recently Income Tax department has increased the last date to link PAN and Aadhaar up to 30 June 2023. Now you can link Aadhaar and PAN before last date. Otherwise your PAN will be inactive.

 

You can link Aadhaar and PAN now but you have to pay a fee of rupees 1000 as a fine
. Linking of  PAN and Aadhaar is not mandatory for some state/ UTs. Except them all resident of all other state/UTs must be link PAN and Aadhaar. Therefore all of us should check if my PAN is linked with Aadhaar or not? If not then we can link it before last date.

How to check your PAN is linked with Aadhaar or not:

Before going to check PAN Aadhaar link status you should have the PAN and Aadhaar number handy. Then follow the following steps.

 

STEP 1: Go to the website https://www.incometax.gov.in and open the home page of the website.

 

STEP 2: Now you are on the home page of the income tax website. Here on the right side of the page you will find some options, as you can see on the following image. Click on the option ‘Link Aadhaar Status’.

 

STEP 3: You will be redirected to another page. In this page you are asked to enter your Aadhaar number and PAN number. Enter both of them correctly and click on ‘View Link Aadhaar status’.

 

STEP 4: A message will opened. It will say your PAN is linked with Aadhaar or not.
