How to change/update mobile number and email id in NPS account?

 

            All NPS customers need to submit their mobile number and e-mail address at time of opening a NPS account. So that all the communication related to their NPS/PRAN account can be sent to their mobile number and e-mail address. When PRAN number is allotted then NSDL send the PRAN number and it IPIN, MPIN etc. to the registered mobile number and e-mail ID. Therefore it is important to update the contact details in PRAN account. Even after anytime while you have forgotten your password then OTP to reset login password is sent to your registered mobile number.

          You can update your mobile number both by offline or online mode. For offline submission you need to download ‘S2form’ from www.npscra.nsdl.co.in and filled the details of your mobile number and email ID. After duly filled the form submit it through your DDO/POPs. The online method is the best option to update contact details in NPS account. By this method you can update mobile number and e-mail immediately. If you wish to change your mobile number and e-mail Id in your PRAN account then you have to follow some simple steps. Before updating mobile number and e-mail address in NPS account you must have the password to login in PRAN account. If you have the password only then you can able to login and change the contact details.

STEP 1: Go to the website https://cra-nsdl.com/CRA/ and login with your user Id and password. Here user Id is your PRAN number.



STEP 2: Now you are logged in to your PRAN account. Here you will see some options on the upper bar of the page. Find the option ‘Demographic changes’ and place the cursor on it. Placing the cursor on it some another options will displayed. Click on the first option ‘Register/Update Email/Mobile’.



STEP 3: After click on the above option you will be redirected to another page where your registered mobile number and e-mail Id will be displayed. You will also see an ‘edit’ option under your mobile number and e-mail Id. Click on it.

STEP 4: In this page delete your old mobile number and e-mail Id from the box and enter your new mobile number and e-mail Id. After enter the details click on ‘Submit’.



STEP 5: Once it submitted you are asked for confirmation. Your current contact details and new contact details will displayed on the screen. Check your entered mobile number and e-mail Id carefully and click on ‘confirm’.

STEP 6: An massage will be displayed on the screen saying that your details has been updated successfully. An acknowledgement number will also be displayed. Note this acknowledgement number for further correspondence.

          Now you can check your e-mail and mobile number is changed or not. If it is not changed then you can contact customer NPS customer service with your acknowledgement number. They will help you to make changes of contact details.
