If you have activate NPS Tier II account recently then you have to contribute by self. In NPS Tier I account if you are a govt. employee then contribution is automatically done. But in NPS tier II you need to contribute by self. If you have not deposited fund to NPS Tier 2 account then we are going to help you. Here we discuss the step by step procedure of 'how to contribute to NPS Tier 2 account online'. For deposit amount in NPS Tier II account you need to follow the following steps.
* First of all go to your mobile and open the NPS mobile application. You will see three option login, contribution and Hindi after opening the application. You have to click on login option. Click on it. You can also proceed directly clicking the option 'Contribution'.
* Now you need to enter your PRAN number as user ID and your password. Enter both the ID and password and click on login. Now you will be logged in to your NPS account. In this page you will see your account balance, scheme details etc. You will find a three line option near home button on the right top of the page. Click on that option.
* After click on that option a list of some options will be displayed on the screen. You have to click on the option 'contribution'. Click on the option and it will redirect you another page. where you need to verify your PRAN number. To verify PRAN enter your PRAN number then your date of birth and enter the captcha question's answer and click on 'verify PRAN' button.
* Now a POP up window will open. Confirm your mobile number here and click on the button 'Send OTP'. Another POP up will be opened where it says that OTP sent successfully to your registered mobile number and e-mail id. Click on 'OK'.
* In this step your PRAN number and date of birth will be displayed. Enter the OTP received on your mobile number and e-mail id on this page and click on 'Submit OTP' option. If you have not received the OTP then you can send it again by clicking on 'regenerate OTP' button.
* Here in this page you need to click on the Tier II account, because your going to contribute to NPS Tier II account. After click on the tier II account enter the amount you wish to contribute, then read and accept the declaration. While you click on read and accept the declaration a dialog box will open where the declarations will be displayed. Click on 'I agree' under the declaration and finally click on 'Confirm' option.
* Now you are redirected to another page where you find your payment details, you need to select your payment gateway like SBI e-pay, Bill Desk, Axis UPI. Choose the gateway of your choice. If you wish to pay by SBI cards or net Banking then select SBI e-Pay option. Here you can check the transaction and service charges by clicking on 'Click here to view transaction and service charges'. You can also edit your payable amount by clicking on 'EDIT AMOUNT'. Finally click on 'confirm payment'. A Dialog box will appear where the payment gateway charges will be displayed. Check it and click on 'OK'.
* In this step you have to select your payment option like Net Banking, Debit card, Credit card etc. Select one of your choice and complete the payment.
* Here the payment receipt will displayed after successful payment. The amount will be displayed on your Tier II account within 2 working days, You can also download the payment receipt clicking on 'DOWNLOAD PAYMENT RECEIPT' option for future communication.
