How to link Aadhaar with PAN online? How to check Aadhaar and PAN linking status?


             As per government rule in present you need to link your Aadhaar and PAN number. Without linking Aadhaar number with PAN number you can not fill ITR forms. For submitting income Tax related applications you need to have linked both. Otherwise you can't complete your requests. If you wish to link your Aadhaar with PAN online then follow the bellow mentioned process.      

          How to link Aadhaar with PAN online: We can link Aadhaar with PAN number online by two process. One is logging to your e-filling income tax India account and the other is without logging to income tax India account. First we discuss about the process linking without login. Before linking Aadhaar with PAN you should ensure that the name and date of birth on Aadhaar should be same with the name and date of birth on PAN. If there any mismatch then you can not link your Aadhaar with PAN. In that condition make the correction before link.

        STEP 1: Go to Google and search www.incometexindiaefiling.gov.in  Then click on the first search result. It will bring you to the home page of e-filing Income Tax Department, Government of India's website.

        STEP 2: Here you will see some links under 'Quick links'. You have to find and click on the link 'Link Aadhaar'. It will be redirected you to the page where you see the Aadhaar PAN linking form.

        STEP 3: In this page you have to fill all requirements of the form. Fill your PAN number, Aadhaar number, Name as per Aadhaar, trick on the option 'agree validate my Aadhaar details with UIDAI'. If you have only year of birth on your Aadhaar card then trick on that option. Then enter the captcha shown on the box and click on 'Link Aadhaar' option. If all the details in Aadhaar and PAN are matches then your Aadhaar and PAN will be successfully linked and if any mismatches occurred then it shows mismatches.         Linking Aadhaar by logging in to Income Tax India account: If you are a registered user of e-filing Income Tax Department, Government of India's website then you can link Aadhaar with PAN by logging to your income tax account. For the linking process follow the following process.

        STEP 1: Go to www.incometexindiaefiling.gov.in and open the home page. Here you will see 'Registered User' login here option click on it.

        STEP 2: After click on that option a new page will open where you are asked to enter user ID, password and captcha code. Enter all the details and click on 'Login'.

        STEP 3: Now you will be logged in to your account. After login you are asked to update your profile. Skip this page, then the dashboard will be open. Here you need to click on 'Profile setting' option. Click on it, a new option's list will be displayed. Find the option 'Link Aadhaar' and click on it as shown on the image bellow.


         STEP 4: In this page it says that your PAN is not link to Aadhaar and give some reason for which it is not linked. Click simply on 'Continue'. 


        STEP 5: After click on 'Continue' a new page will open where you will see your name as per PAN, date of birth as per PAN, gender as per PAN. You need to enter your Aadhaar number and name as per Aadhaar card. Enter the details and click on 'Link Aadhaar' option.


        If all the details matches then a massage will displayed that 'Aadhaar -PAN linking is completed successfully.

        How to check Aadhaar and PAN linking status :  After linking Aadhaar and PAN if you wish to check the status then you can easily check the status online. For that you have to follow some simple steps. Follow the following steps for 'PAN Aadhaar link status check online'.

        STEP 1: Go to google and search 'PAN Aadhaar link status'. After search click on the first search result 'Link Aadhaar Status-Income Tax'.

        STEP 2: After click on the link you will be redirected to a page where you are asked to enter your PAN and Aadhaar number. Enter the both and click on 'View link Aadhaar status' option. It will displayed if your Aadhaar and PAN linked or not.
