in the nearest branch to your home. But you have shifted to another location far
from your home. But there is no other branch of ICICI Bank near to your
location. The current branch is the only nearest branch to your new address. In
that condition you obviously wish to change your address in your account. Bank
also always says to their customers to update their address, mobile number,
email address etc. But for pressure of work, daily duty you have no time to
visit branch for such a small work. Keeping in mind such conditions ICICI Bank
offers the online address change facility to their Internet Banking customers.
One can easily update his or her address in their account using ICICI Bank
internet Banking service. Once applied for changing of communication address it
takes 3-7 days to update in their account. It is the very useful facility of
ICICI Bank.
How
to change address in ICICI Bank account online:
If you have a savings bank account in ICICI Bank and you have
registered with internet banking only then you can apply for address change in
ICICI Bank. Here is the step by step process of change address in ICICI Bank
account online.
STEP 1: Go to ICICI Bank internet
banking page and login with your user Id and password. After login to your
account you will find an option ‘overview’ on the upper bar of the page. This
is the first option on the upper bar. Placed the cursor on it and another three
options will appear. The options are “My view, Personal details and Account
summary”. Click on the option ‘Personal details’.
STEP 2: After click on ‘Personal
details’ you will be redirected to a page where your personal details will be
displayed. You can see your account number, name, address, mobile number,
e-mail address etc. You can update here address, e-mail address and PAN number.
You can’t change/update mobile number here. To update mobile number you need to
visit home branch. Now to change address click on the ‘Update’ button shown
against your address.
STEP 3: A new page will open where you
have to edit your address details. First you need to select any one of the
address proof from the drop down menu. You will find the address proof
documents as under.
* Aadhaar card
*Driving license
* NREGA card
*Voter ID
Select any one
which is in your hand. Keep in mind that the address must be same as you wish
to update. Then upload a clear scan document clicking on the upload button. You
can upload font side and reverse side of the document separately. The scan copy
of the address proof should not exceed 500 kb and not password protected. After
upload the document enter your new communication address as asked in the boxes.
Now accept both declaration and terms and conditions shown on this page. After completion
of all the details click on the ‘Submit’ button.
STEP 4: An OTP will be sent to your
registered mobile number, enter the OTP on this page and click on ‘Submit’.
STEP 5: Now a massage will displayed
saying that your request has been created successfully. Here you also see your
service request number. Note down the service request number for further
communication. Now within 3-4 working days your address will be updated in your
account details.
