After booking ticket successfully if you want to update nominee in IRCTC insurance then how can you do it.

 

Many IRCTC customers wanted to update nominee in IRCTC insurance. But they don’t know the process. Therefore we are going to describe the process in this article.

How to add nominee in IRCTC insurance:

You can update nominee in two ways. One is by login to your IRCTC account and one is by login to your email which is linked with IRCTC account. Now follow the following steps.

Add nominee in IRCTC travel insurance by login to registered email:

STEP 1: Go to your email login with your password. Check your inbox here. You will find a mail form SBIGEN. Open this mail here.

 

STEP 2: You will see a link ‘Update Nominee Details’ in the mail. Click on this link. You can also directly reach to the nomination page by clicking on this link https://www.sbigeneral.in/buy-online/irctc/pnrCheck

 

STEP 3: You will be redirected to SBI General Insurance page. Here you are asked to enter your PNR number, email address or mobile number and the captcha code. Enter all the details correctly. Keep in mind that enter the mobile number or email address which is linked with your IRCTC online account. Finally click on ‘continue’.

 


STEP 4: In this page you will see the passengers name on the ticket and the policy numbers against each person. You will also have the space to enter nominee name, relationship with the passenger, age and mobile number of nominee. Enter all the details for each passenger on the ticket and click on ‘Update Nominee’ button.

 


STEP 5: Successful updating of nominee will be displayed on the screen.

 

Add nominee to IRCTC travel insurance by login to IRCTC account:

STEP 1: Go to IRCTC login page and login with your user Id and password.

 

STEP 2: As you logged in to your account you will see your upcoming journey details right side of the page. Click on the link ‘All Journeys’.

 

STEP 3:   Your upcoming journey list will be displayed on the screen. Click on the journey for which you want to add nominee. The details of ticket will be displayed on the screen. Go to the ‘Travel insurance’ section and click on ‘Insurance company name: SBI General Insurance’.

 

STEP 4: It will redirected to your to the SBI general insurance page. Enter your PNR, mobile number or email and the captcha and click on ‘continue’.

 

STEP 5: Enter nominee details on this page and click on ‘update nominee’.

 

STEP 6: Nomination updating is done and successful message will be displayed on the screen.
