Before going to check the policy details of any vehicle you should register in Parivahan website as a citizen user. Now follow the following steps.

 

STEP 1: Go to the website https://parivahan.gov.in and open the home page of the website.

 

STEP 2: Now you are on the home page of the website. On this home page you will see some tabs on the upper bar. Place the cursor on the ‘informational service’ tab.

 

As you placed the cursor on the ‘informational service’ tab you will see a list of various options will be appeared. Click on the second option ‘know your vehicle details’.

 

STEP 3: You will be redirected to citizen login page. On this page you can logged in by entering your mobile number. But if you don’t have an account on this portal then click on the link ‘create account’.

 

STEP 4: Enter your mobile number, email address and captcha on this page. Click on ‘Generate OTP’ button.

 

STEP 5: Enter the OTP received on your email and mobile number and click on ‘verify’.

 

STEP 6: You will be redirected to password generation page. You are asked to enter your name, password and confirm password. Enter all the details and click on ‘save’.

 

STEP 7: A message will be appeared ‘Citizen user has been created successfully’. Click on the link ‘Back to vehicle search’.

 

STEP 8: Now you are on the login page. You are asked to enter your mobile number, captcha code. Enter both the details and click on ‘Next’.

 

STEP 9: Enter your account password and click on ‘continue’.

 

STEP 10: An OTP will be received on the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on ’verify’.

 

STEP 11: Now you are logged in to your account. You are asked to enter your vehicle number for which you want to check the policy number. Then enter the captcha and click on ‘vahan search’.

 

STEP 12: Your vehicle details, policy number, insurance company and validity will be appeared on the screen..
